I had two airbrush exams last week. I have come to realize I LOVE airbrushing!
Tuesday was a beauty exam, with Cora as my model. I did very colorful eyes, with pink, purple, yellow and green, with a very light cream shimmery highlight. I got my eye makeup inspiration from a picture in the Sephora magazine a few years back titled Mermaid makeup. I used a light pink blush on the hollow of her cheeks and applied a shimmery silvery highlight on the apples of her cheeks. With light pink lips and flowy curls in her hair, I topped off her look off with fake lashes that had clear-colored crystals on them.
For my fantasy airbrush exam, I turned Natasha into Artemis. She had this beautiful goddess inspired dress in a silvery mauve, so I started with a a silver base to cover her whole exposed skin, then I airbrushed teal and green highlights and shading on her face. I used purple shimmery pigment for her eyebrows, and a darker purple for her lips. I used a purple acrylic to paint on her eyeliner with the swirls and put long fake lashes that had glitter on them as well. I put swarovski crystals in the shape of a moon around the side of her face, and applied some dots to emphasize the shape of the moon using white acrylic paint and a toothpick.
For her neck, shoulder, arm and back, I used stencils to airbrush the moon and stars, with a combination of negative and positive stencil images. Then I used a paintbrush to paint the swirls and starburst patterns, then I applied a ton of swarovski crystals on her skin to emphasize the stars.
I had gone to the dollar store the day before to prepare my props. I got a bow and arrow and airbrushed it silver. I also got a bunch of feathers. So for her hair, I stuck a bunch of teal and purple feathers in and sprayed some glitter hairspray all over her head.
Next up will be the full body airbrush exam. That is gonna be awesome! I have lots of ideas already, just finalizing the details.

Hair Exams Weeks 2 & 3
For the 2nd and 3rd week of Hair Design, I had Susan, Andrea and Becca as my models.
For Susan, the 3 looks I had to do were Double Stranded Twist, Chignon, and an Updo. I'm gonna post her pics in no particular order. These are photos from the photoshoot, some full body where you can't really see the hair up close, but the photos and her outfits are soooo pretty! Later on I will post the pictures of the hair up close from all sides to have a clearer view of the hair style.
Andrea was my short haired model, for finger waves. I went 1920s on her with subtle eye make up and a dark lip.
Becca was my last hair model. Her 2 looks were Basket Weave and a Freestyle look, which I chose to do a Bow.
Next up I will post the angled pictures.

Bridal Practical Exam
For my Bridal Practical Exam, I decided to go traditional East Indian Bridal. My friend Baljit graciously modelled for me, and she wore this beautiful pink Indian suit, with a blue scarf.
For her eyes, I used teal and black pigments, to create a more dramatic look. I also put teal crystals above her eyebrows.
We were able to do a professional photoshoot at a photographer's studio, so the photos turned out amazing!
Thanks for modelling for me Baljit!
